BIOptimizers was founded in 2004 by Matt Gallant and Wade Lightheart, driven by a shared belief that health is deeply personal — and that real progress comes from understanding the body, not oversimplifying it.

Both founders came to this work through years of hands-on experience in fitness, nutrition, and performance. Along the way, they witnessed how thoughtful, science-based approaches to health could create meaningful, lasting change, not just physically, but in how people live their lives.

Matt and Wade met through their work, built a strong partnership, and ultimately set out to create a company grounded in rigor, integrity, and long-term thinking. From the very beginning, they made a clear decision: if a product couldn't be built to the highest standard, it wouldn't be built at all.

That philosophy still guides BIOptimizers today. While the company has grown globally, its foundation remains the same — curiosity over shortcuts, substance over hype, and a deep respect for the people the work is meant to serve.
