On November 21, 2015, the Strength Camp Challenge took place in Tampa, Florida The Strength Camp Challenge welcomes competitors from all around the globe who want to put their strength and fitness to the test.
We went to The Strength Camp Challenge in Tampa, Florida with two of our BiOptimizer athletes who competed in the challenge.
Our athletes took part in what proved to be one of the most grueling days they’ve ever faced. And when it was over, they knew that they’d do it all over again
If you’re someone who likes to push your limits, testing your strength and seeing what challenges you can overcome, then The Strength Camp Challenge is something that would be of interest to you.
So what makes StrengthCamp so special? Why did we choose to attend?
StrengthCamp is about more than just displaying great strength and physical ability. While that is what this event is based around, it’s really about having a good time, pushing yourself to be the best version you can be, all while being surrounded by like-minded individuals.
The StrengthCamp challenge is an event where you can meet those who are at the pinnacle of their fitness, willing to do whatever it takes to get a job done all while embracing a healthy lifestyle.
Bringing The Best Of The Best
To help fuel the day, some of the hottest YouTube celebrities made an appearance. This included names like Elliott Hulse, Chris Jones, Brandon Carter, Ronnie Coleman, Frank Young, Rob and Dana Linn Bailey, along with Erin Stern.
These stars had their own booths where they could interact with the many fans who came to the event. It provided the perfect opportunity to get inspired by some of the hottest in the industry.
The StrengthCamp challenge itself is broken down into a number of different divisions including the Open Class, the Women’s Open Class, the Novice Class, the Teen Class, as well as the Masters class.
The Women’s, Master’s and Teen class all came with a nice prize wining of $1000 while the Open class winner took home a check for $10,000.
To take part in the StrengthCamp challenge, four events would be completed along with one mystery event that would be revealed the day of the event.
These events included the bench press, the FMI push/pull sled medley, the deadlift, followed by the athletic strongman medley. This final event consists of a 40 yard sprint followed by a farmers walk, another sprint, a barrel carry, another sprint, and then finishes up with a barbell ground to overhead press.
Once the competitors finished all events, scores were tabulated and the winners were announced.
The day didn’t end there though. After the physical challenges were completed, those who wished headed over to the ‘Kings Club After Party’, which proved to be an excellent celebration event.
