Water comes in a solid, liquid, or gas form – we learned that in grade school, right? However, did you know there is a fourth type of water that few people know exists? And did you know this mysterious form of water has potent health benefits?
The special H2O covered on this show is The Fourth Phase of Water – also known as EZ (Exclusion Zone) water.
Our guest today is the scientist who discovered E.Z water: University of Washington Professor Dr. Gerald Pollack.
Dr. Pollack approaches science with the awe and wonder of a 5-year-old boy – and his open-minded style of experimentation enables Dr. Pollack to break through the sacred cows of science. Fearless in the laboratory, his work colleagues do not always embrace his unconventional theories and mind-blowing discoveries.
Water is fascinating. We know a lot more about it today, thanks to the work of Dr. Pollack.
You need to know more about E.Z water – it turns out the cells in your body contain EZ water! But suppose you aren’t doing certain things. In that case, your body can be EZ water depleted, and Dr. Pollack’s work shows a correlation between EZ water and energy, vitality, and a longer lifespan.
Dive in as Wade and Dr. Pollack discuss the enchanting power of EZ water and the bountiful blessings it holds, according to scientific research.
A popular documentary inspired by Dr. Pollack’s work called The Fourth Phase came out in 2016. (Dr. Pollack is in the film, and you can watch it online.)
Gerald Pollack is a Doctor of Biomedical Engineering – received from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. Soon after this achievement, he joined the University of Washington faculty and is now a professor of Bioengineering. He is also the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal WATER, convener of the Annual Conference on the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of Water, and Executive Director of the Institute for Venture Science.
He is also the author of three books, including the award-winning title The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor.

- Some surprising science behind the earth’s “electrical field” (say what?)
- Can EZ water help people go without food for years?
- How much EZ water should you drink each day?
- The practice of “grounding” and its connections with EZ water
- A scientific “fact” involving atoms that Dr. Pollack says is wrong
Remote Healing
As the conversation includes energy fields, some details involving atoms and electrical charges get discussed. At one point, Wade and Dr. Pollack talked about something called “remote healing.”
Remote healing is when a healer can somehow help another person heal from a long-distance away. Dr. Pollack shares his personal experience with remote healing for his injured back.
Wade shared a remarkable story of his remote healing several years ago. A female scientist friend who could perform remote healing was troubled by her inability to explain why it works.
One day Wade had been suffering from “torturous” pain for 24 hours. The scientist told Wade to lie down in a room and relax, and she would begin to “work” on him. Wade claims that within a few minutes, she completely eliminated the excruciating pain.
Wow!
Renegade Ideas
When Wade asks about Dr. Pollack’s dealings with resistant faculty at the university and the borderline cancel culture he faces, Pollack quotes Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, the father of modern biochemistry who discovered Vitamin C.
Szent-Gyorgi “was deeply into the idea of structured water” and has left several aphorisms that left an impression on Dr. Pollack. Here is a couple:
“Life is water dancing to the tune of solids.”
“I have had a lot of ideas during my long career. I knew the good ideas were good when the response was polarized – when some people love it, and some people hate the idea. That’s when I knew I was onto something.
Dr. Pollack also seems to relate to Galileo, whose idea that the earth was not the center of the solar system and that the sun is the center – the church didn’t appreciate that idea, and Galileo suffered house arrest and was banned from publishing.
Early in his career, Dr. Pollack considered scientific figures like Galileo and Szent-Gyorgi to be renegades. Today, he looks at them (and himself) as “truth seekers.”
Not that he’s claiming to be the judge of truth. “Seeking the truth doesn’t mean we found it, but we’re attempting to find it.”
Dr. Pollack goes on to talk about the years of criticism he has faced. He describes some of the criticism as “meaningful,” while others were offering no meaning at all – the critics were “just attempting to solidify the status quo.”
Many of Dr. Pollack’s colleagues who study water don’t want to see a radical change in their field. “It feels unsettling,” says Dr. Pollack. “You’ve been spending your whole career studying the three phases of water, how they interact, and then someone comes in and says there’s a fourth phase and provides evidence.”
“There is a tendency not to accept this…I’ve had my share of it.”
This podcast will make you see water in a whole new way. There’s more to “staying hydrated” than we think. Dr. Pollack dedicates his life to the study of water and has contributed some mind-blowing discoveries to our knowledge of H2O. This interview turned out swimmingly for everyone who follows the A.W.E.S.O.M.E. health acronym – the “W” stands for water, remember? Don’t miss the magic water brings to your body.
Check out this episode – you’ll be “all wet” and miss the crystal clear power of water if you don’t!
