Victoria Burgess, PhD

Victoria Burgess earned her Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago and is a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN). She, additionally, is an Adjunct Professor in the Human Performance and Nutrition department at Concordia University where she teaches undergrad, grad and doctoral level courses in exercise science, sports nutrition and public health. She has an active role as a researcher in many sports science, performance and nutritional studies with the International Society of Sports Nutrition. Victoria sits on the Advisory Board for the International Society of Sports Nutrition as well as the First Responder Institute, National Advisory Council. Prior to her career in performance and nutrition, she was a career Firefighter/Paramedic for 16 years in south Florida, proudly serving the City of Pompano Beach.
